XREF List

The XRef list holds all the references for the selected item in the object area. When the list is first populated the initial item is set to the object definition if one exists, otherwise it defaults to the implementation and finally the first reference.

Each XRef item in the list has the following information,

• Unit the item is referenced from.
• Line number within unit.
• Column within line.
• Type of reference.

Selecting an item in the XRef list causes the source for the referencing unit to be displayed in the source area and the referencing item highlighted.

In this example the VCL GRIDS unit has been parsed and TStringSparseList selected in the tree. The XRef list shows the definition of the object and it is highlighted in the source area.

In the status bar at the bottom you can see the number of times this item is referenced.
